State Enterprise "MoldData"
State Enterprise "MoldData" was created in September 1993 and functions in confomity with the legislation in force of the Republic of Moldova. The basic services include research, projecting and services offering in the field of informatics, promotion of advanced information technologies and methodologies, elaboration and projecting of information systems for social and economic activities administration, data transmission services offering, access to Internet, registration under the domain .md and hosting.
Starting from June 2005, State Enterprise "MoldData" became subordinate to the Ministry of Information Development.

Functions of SE “MoldData”
Research – projecting in the field of informatics
- Promotion of advanced information technologies and methodologies with great level of generosity and applicability
- Creation of information systems for management of economic and social activity
- Assurance of economic agents access to the public, economic, scientific, social economic databases of other countries on the basis of contract
- Promotion of national and international information standards
- Study and implementation of security and confidence assurance systems in information networks
- Implementation of electronic data exchange in information activity
- International cooperation in the domain of informatics
- Telecommunication services offering (data transmission) at national level in accordance with the Telecommunication Law of the Republic of Moldova
- Realization of provisions of the National Strategy of Edification of Information Society – “Electronic Moldova”
